DBA Administrator

We are looking for a Senior Open-Source & NoSQL Database Engineer to manage, optimize, and ensure the high availability of Cassandra, PostgreSQL, and Redis environments. You will support critical production systems, execute performance tuning, maintain HA/DR, automate operational tasks, and lead database migrations across on-prem and cloud infrastructure. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work in mission-critical operations.

Assigned Service Requests & Operational Tasks (ASROT)

• Provide Level 2/3 operational support for Cassandra, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Monitor database performance, health, and security across multiple environments.
• Manage installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, capacity planning, and user/role management.
• Implement and verify backup & recovery strategies, including restore drills.
• Perform query optimization, index tuning, and schema reviews.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Maintain accurate CMDB and asset records.
  Value-Add Projects & Client Solutions (VAP/CS)
• Design automation scripts/playbooks (Ansible, Python) for deployments and operational tasks.
• Lead performance optimization for Cassandra clusters, PostgreSQL instances, and Redis caches.
• Design HA and DR solutions to ensure maximum uptime.
• Plan and execute database migrations and major upgrades with minimal downtime.
• Contribute to solution architecture and new service designs.
• Produce documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-sharing materials.

• 5–7 years in database administration; 3–4 years with open-source & NoSQL DBs.
• Expertise in operating, optimizing, and troubleshooting Cassandra, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Strong understanding of clustering, replication, sharding, and high-availability design.
• Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with backup, recovery, and point-in-time restoration.
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash) for automation.
• Experience with AWS DB services: RDS/Aurora PostgreSQL, ElasticCache for Redis, Keyspaces for Cassandra.
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
